Mrs. Susan Turner
Mrs. Turner is a Buckeye native who understands the diverse and unique culture of our city. She comes from a family of old town Buckeye settlers and graduated from Buckeye Union High School. She raised pigs for show at the Maricopa County Fair, served as an FFA Chapter Officer, and was part of the Entomology Team.
She is a Navy brat whose father is retired Navy, so, ...of course, she also has a great love for the beach (which is entirely too far from here) and has lived in California, Texas, Maryland, & South Carolina during her early years. Her family was even stationed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba for several years; where she has fond memories of being stuck on a beautiful island to include tropical adventures, exotic foods, and long days on the beach.
Mrs. Turner has a loving husband, one daughter, and four step-children. She also has 6 grandchildren! She adores her family.
Mrs. Turner brings 10 years of teaching experience in the area of mathematics to her position as principal and holds a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and teacher certification in both Elementary and Secondary Education.
She also has prior experience in church leadership as a Worship Leader, Youth Minister, Sunday School Teacher & Nursery Coordinator. Her desire is to love Jesus and make Him known; which is why this position, merging faith and education, is the perfect fit for her.
